Superannuation

Apart from your family home, Superannuation is the most important financial asset for the vast majority of Australians.  Superannuation is the centrepiece for the Federal Government retirement savings system and has provided attractive incentives for us to save for our own retirement.

Superannuation

Superannuation provides generous tax concessions to those who save for retirement.   Most people pay less tax on monies contributed to super and if you access your benefits after age 60, you pay no tax on withdrawal.  Additionally, when you draw a retirement income stream from superannuation the investment earnings can be tax-free.  It is the most tax-effective way to invest and save for your retirement.    Contact J.K. Kerkham Financial to discuss your superannuation...

Account Based Pensions - Income Stream (ABP)

An account based pension is a regular income stream that you receive from your superannnuation benefits.  You can receive this income stream when you retire (or when you satisfy a superannuation condition of release).   You can elect to receive this pension income stream as a regular periodic payment or as a lump sum payment each year.  You have flexibility to choose your annual pension level (subject to a minimum amount) from year to year.   Contact J.K. Kerkham Financial to discuss commencing a superannuation retirement income stream...

Self Managed Super Funds (SMSFs)

The rapid growth in the number of SMSFs has been one of the great success stories of Australia's compulsory retirement savings system.   The strong growth in this sector is attributable to the increased control, flexibility, investment options and cost effectiveness of SMSFs.  Typically, SMSF trustees are the most engaged and informed participants in the system and have higher than average capital balances.   Contact J.K. Kerkham Financial to discuss SMSFs...

Transition to Retirement - Income Stream (TRIS)

Transition to Retirement pensions are designed to allow a person approaching retirement to 'transition' into retirement by reducing their working hours and supplementing their income needs by drawing a pension income from their superannuation assets.    Contact J.K.
